UPDATES, finally!!

I realized it has been since November since writing anything. Geez, time flies. I hate saying that but it is so true. SO a quick recap on the last couple months. The holidays were great! Very relaxing and lots of family time. Oliver didn't really care much for his new toys but he loved all the attention from everyone. He is such a charmer. Lillian was so happy to get new stuff. She is at the age where she understands she is getting new things but isn't sure why. She loved all the Christmas lights and decorations. She would stare out the window and ooh and aww at all the neighbors lights. We live on a themed block so we had a giant Santa in our front yard so every time we came home from somewhere she had to run up to him and say hi. It was so cute. He is now in the garage and she continues to say hi to him when we are in the garage. The new year brought the sadness of Bryce returning to his normal work schedule. We are all sad about that. January was a fun month with a visit from one of my dear friends from Washington. It was so wonderful to see her! Oliver didn't care too much for her at first but he finally warmed up to her when she was about to leave. I celebrated another birthday. It was a wonderful day! On to February, which came and passed very quickly. The weather was not so great for having little kids. We were forced to be indoors a lot. We had another visit from a friend and her sweet kids. She has a boy about Lillian's age and a little girl who is 4 and is probably the smartest 4 year old I have met. She sat and read books most of the time she was here:) They were only planning to stay one night and I made sure I let Tana know how sad I was she wasn't staying longer. Well my whining paid off and they ended up staying another night because of car trouble. I felt bad but was so thankful for more time with all of them. My heart is so full after getting to spend a couple days with them. Tana has a way of making you feel so loved and important. She also asks the tough questions and keeps me accountable. I'm so thankful for her friendship. Also, we have already arranged for her little guy and Lillian to get married so that we can officially be stuck together. He is the cutest little boy and Lilly just loved him. She followed him all over the house. Then they left and we all got sick with colds. Oliver is a true male and makes it seems as though the world is ending because he doesn't feel good. He was so difficult the whole week he fought his cold. It was brutal. Lillian as always slept a ton and was so good about it. One day I had to go in and wake her up around 11am! She probably would of slept all day had I let her. Bryce and I have come to the reality of life with a toddler. For the most part Lilly has been really good. She listens well and responds great to discipline. Well not so much that last couple weeks. She has thrown numerous fits where she throws herself on the floor and screams. She whines constantly pointing at things she wants saying this, this, this, THIS, THIS!! She can say what it is she wants but she just says "THIS". And she has grown to really like the word no. Lilly would you like to eat breakfast, NO, Lilly we are going to go bye-bye, NO, Lilly we are going to get dressed, NOOO!! And on and on it goes all day. Which is why I am exhausted and can not type any more. I will leave you with some recent pictures.

We spent lots of days in the snow. Lilly wasn't too sure of it at first

This is my view all day:)

Oliver and Courtney-He finally warmed up

We love the new library!

This is all we got on Christmas Eve. Lilly would not sit still for anything.
